This beautiful home was inspired by the tranquil colors of the Mediterranean, the culture of the people south of the border and North Idaho landscape. It’s uniquely its own and reflects the personality of the homeowners who live there. Our journey starts in the powder bathroom where Oceanside glass tiles frames a beveled mirror and reflects the beautiful countertop below. The vessel sink sits upon a Cambria quartz countertop in Praa Sands which seamlessly ties in all colors in the room. Above, Oceanside’s Casa Onda tile in color, Tropical Reef iridescent, saturated in deep indigo and cobalt blue.
At the opposite side of the house lies a guest quarters where you’ll feel right at home. This immaculate shower is nothing but elegant. Thompson Tile & Stone’s Yura porcelain tile in color, Ivory, covers the walls and pairs handsomely with Marazzi Catwalk glass mosaic in color, Toffee Tennies. A niche was added and the glass was inserted vertically to switch up the design.
Next the kitchen boasts a massive island completed with a light quartz countertop. The perimeter is done in white custom cabinets with shaker styled doors that are anchored by a gorgeous custom hood. Below the hood, we used Rixi subway tile by Oregon Tile & Marble in color, Linen. The subway is laid in a variety of patterns framing the homeowners treasured hand painted tiles, that were picked up years ago on a trip to Mexico. This kitchen tells a story and leaves a lasting impression.
Near the kitchen you might feel like your a going back in time. A refurbished vault door conceals a hidden room. Modeled after an old bank and featuring real safety deposit boxes, you know your wine will be secure! The floor is made up of a variety of 2×8 pavers manufactured by Dal Tile. The Union Square pavers feature two colors that harmoniously work together and appear to be vintage, just like the history of its surroundings.
Out of the wine cellar and down a wide corridor you will be transported to a Mediterranean inspired oasis. The master bathroom is nothing but breathtaking. Emser Tile’s Venetian Pebble mosaics appear on the floor in color, Pastel Blend, and gracefully lead you to a magnificent walk-in shower of soothing ocean inspired colors.
The tile on the walls depict peaceful waves on a sandy shore. Manufactured by s’Tile, the New Stone collection is all about tranquility and simple, monochromatic color schemes. We chose color, Borgogna, a neutral beige color with flecks of sand. Two stripes of 1×3 Boyce & Bean glass tile flank the Onda Deco and the Aquatic blue is definitely an eye catcher.
